What she does

Navigation, spoken by her

Search for a place, pick a route, and drive. Every turn is announced in her voice rather than a stock one, and street names are read in the language they are written in.

On the screen, not in a menu

She is there for the whole drive, idling, reacting and speaking the turns, while the map and the turn card keep their own side of the screen.

Her voice, your language

English, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), Japanese and Korean. Choose the language she guides you in, and she speaks it properly rather than reading a translated label aloud.

Someone you choose

Pick your companion, her outfit and colourway, and the voice she speaks in. New characters, looks and voices arrive over time.

Built for the car

Designed for CarPlay rather than shrunk to fit it: large type, high contrast, and no colour-coded icons to decode at speed. Day and night follow your car. The iPhone app works on its own too, and a route started in one place carries on in the other.

Built for privacy

Sign in with Apple is the only sign-in, so there is no password and no form to fill in. No sale of personal data. The privacy policy explains analytics and marketing measurement. Your account and everything on it can be deleted from inside the app.

Before you drive

Michika is a companion, not a co-driver. Set your destination before you move off, keep your eyes on the road, and treat what she says as a suggestion — road signs, closures and the law always come first. Her character is an artificial-intelligence system, not a person. She is not an emergency service and she does not give medical, legal or financial advice.
